The William Penn Fellowship is granted to talented, passionate individuals with a commitment to public service and a drive to help make Pennsylvania a better place to live.
Established by the Governor’s administration, it is a selective program which allows the chosen candidate to work for two years alongside executive leadership to address challenges facing Pennsylvania. The focus of the fellowship will be on the Governor’s priorities of Jobs that Pay, Schools that Teach and Government that Works. The selected fellows will also have the opportunity to spend a portion of the fellowship in the Governor’s Office of Transformation, Innovation, Management and Efficiency (GO-TIME). At the conclusion of their fellowships, participants will have the opportunity to present the results of their work to the Governor and other senior officials within state government.
The fellowship is open to individuals with a master’s level and above degree earned from December 2013 to August 2017, with fellowships beginning in summer 2017. Applications are being accepted from August 1 through October 21. Details are available at www.pennfellowship.pa.gov.
