This lovely department also hosts various events, career fairs, and workshops throughout the semester to help make you the perfect job/internship/professional degree candidate! Career Fair – Thursday, March 26

The Philadelphia Nonprofit and Government Career Fair is scheduled for this Thursday, March 26th from 11:00am-2:00pm in the Jake Nevin Field House here on Villanova’s campus. Hundreds of students from all over the Philadelphia area will be here and we hope that our Villanova MPA students can join in to meet the more than 50 organizations and opportunities!


The agencies and organizations attending the fair will be offering internships, volunteer opportunities and paid full-time jobs.

During the Career Fair, there will be workshops for Finding & Applying for Jobs in the Federal Government and Working in the Nonprofit Sector. We highly recommend that you take advantage of these presentations and the valuable information that will be provided. Please join the MPA Program as we host a Resume Building Workshop with:

  • Albert Baladez, Employee Relations & Compliance, Villanova University
  • Sheila Doherty, Villanova University Career Center
  • Theresa Ellerbe, Philadelphia’s Office of Personnel Management
We will discuss the fundamentals of crafting a solid resume and how to tailor your resume for the appropriate sector. All are welcome and encouraged to attend. Bring a current version of your resume for hands-on help and feedback!

Use InterviewStream – a customizable web based practice interview tool – to practice interviewing virtually! Or, schedule an appointment to practice an interview live with a career counselor.
